Dr. Chris Adolph, Senior Veterinary Specialist (Parasitology) at Zoetis, spoke with the New York Times Wirecutter as they sought out to review the best flea and tick treatments for cats and dogs. The staff looked at 20 treatments and picked their top four for dogs and cats with Simparica Trio® (sarolaner, moxidectin, and pyrantel chewable tablets) and Revolution Plus® (selamectin and sarolaner topical solution) making the list.
Simparica Trio is featured as Wirecutter’s top pick for dogs noting that it offers “the broadest protection for the lowest price.” Revolution Plus is featured as the runner-up for cats noting that it prevents four types of ticks including lone star tick and the Gulf Coast tick.
