Chlamydophila Felis

Keep Them Safe With Their Feline Friends

Chlamydophila felis is an extremely contagious, yet treatable infection of the eyes and lungs. Most common in multi-cat households, shelters, and boarding facilities, it’s spread through direct contact between cats. Though it’s rarely fatal, being vaccinated can reduce the severity of symptoms.

  • Symptoms may include:
Swelling and eye discharge, sneezing, runny nose, fever, and loss of appetite.

  • Treatment usually includes:
Both oral and topical antibiotics for several weeks.
